You know, sometimes I feel like we're always rushing, aren't we? Constantly pushing for the next big thing, the next milestone. But lately, I've really been leaning into the idea that true *growth*—the kind that truly transforms you—often takes its sweet time. It’s not a race; it’s a journey of divine guidance and learning. My own experience has taught me that when I pray for *growth*, it’s not just about asking for more success or opportunities. It's about asking for patience to endure the waiting periods, the understanding to learn from setbacks, and the discipline to stay committed to my spiritual path, even when it feels slow. I've found that these prayers help me find alignment with God's plan for my life, rather than just my own. One of the biggest lessons for me has been embracing the 'different life seasons.' There are times of flourishing, and then there are seasons of quiet introspection, where it feels like nothing is happening. But it's in those quiet times that I often grow the most, developing deeper roots. A few years ago, I was so impatient for a career change, constantly feeling frustrated. I started praying specifically for patience and spiritual growth in trusting God's timing. It wasn't an overnight fix, but gradually, I felt a shift. Then, I focus on the virtues needed, like patience, humility, or courage. I specifically pray for guidance in decision-making and the discipline to follow through on what I know is right, even when it's hard. This isn't about perfection, but consistent effort. This handwritten prayer of mine, the one I shared, is a constant reminder. It asks for that divine alignment and the wisdom to embrace every phase. It's about realizing that 'greatness takes time' isn’t just a nice saying; it's a profound truth about how God crafts us. When I feel overwhelmed, I revisit it, and it brings me back to that centered feeling.
