In many countries, taking a baby into a classroom may be seen as "inappropriate."
But at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel,
One professor chose to do something different.

When one of the college students' babies started crying,
The child's mother is leaving the room to not bother her classmates.
But what happened then stunned the whole classroom.
The professor walked in. Carried the baby in his arms.
Comfort the little boy and talk...
Without stopping the teaching for a second.
Until the end of the school period - and the baby stopped crying.
Footage of this incident went viral in 2015.
Students together comment that
"This is real organizational behavior."
Professor Engleberg is known as a supporter of motherly students.
He allowed his children to breastfeed in class as usual.
Because he believes
Women should not be forced to choose between "motherhood" and "education."
This story doesn't just teach academia.
But it reminds us that
Education does not mean just the transfer of knowledge.
But to "open up, embrace each other's humanity."
And sometimes...
Classrooms are probably the beginning of the most important life lessons. 🤍
