The Palace of Fontainebleau is one of the most important and greatest royal palaces in France, located about 55 kilometers southeast of Paris.
The beginning of this palace dates back to the 12th century AD, it was originally used as a residence for the hunting of French kings, before being greatly restored and expanded in the time of Francois I, the 16th century period to become a center of Renaissance art in France.
Fongstandboll is famous for its architectural decoration that combines painting, sculpture, stucco work and woodwork so ornately that it spawned an art form called "Fongstandboll," which influenced European art of the period.
Of historical and artistic value, the palace was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981 and remains one of the key symbols that reflect the prosperity of French cultural arts for centuries.
