I love seeing things and thinking “what if”?

Cheap DIY concrete jack-o’-lantern planters FTW!

What you need:

•plastic Halloween buckets (Walmart) as many as you’d like to make.

•a bag of Quickrete concrete, fast setting

•cooking spray

•orange spray paint (just what you vibe with)

•black acrylic paint

•clear sealant spray paint

•5 gallon bucket (or some mixing container for concrete)

•small plastic plant pots

•stones, rocks, or pebbles

How to:

•mix Quickrete in 5 gallon bucket per instructions

•spray inside of plastic pumpkin and outside of plastic plant pots

•fill plastic pumpkin 3/4 of the way full of Quickrete then gently tap on ground to release bubbles

•push plastic plant pot into concrete and add more concrete if necessary to fill bucket around pot. Tap again for bubbles

•add stones, rocks, or pebbles into planter for shape and weight

•leave to dry per Quickrete instructions (I left overnight)

•remove stones and planter

•carefully cut plastic pumpkin away from concrete

•spray with orange spray paint, allow to dry

•paint details you want in black, allow to dry

•spray with clear coat, allow to dry

•plant your mum (or preferred plant) inside

So fast, so fun, SO CUTE! 🎃
