My curly hair transformation after YEARS OF BLEACHING!! 😱 with curl stylist @Neah Pierre
Hi loves! I am on a curly hair journey to revive my bleach damaged curls. I was blonde for 3 years and if you’ve ever dyed your hair you know how important it is to treat your curls with at home and professional hair care.
All thanks to Neah I was able to bring my curls back after one session! Of course, much was done. Starting with my hair consultation. My hairstylist advised I cut at least 2 inches off. Neah specializes in RËZO cuts, a curly cut done on dry curly hair. ( Watch until the end because the cut came out perfect 😍 !!
I got a protein treatment as well as a steaming treatment since my hair was struggling with porosity issues. My curls weren’t retaining moisture which effects how it takes product.
It was a NEEDED therapeutic curly hair care session ! What do you curly lovers think of my results? This first session gives me so much confidence that I can accomplish my dream curls.

It's truly a game-changer when you finally decide to embark on a journey to revive your curls after years of chemical processing, especially bleaching! I know the struggle firsthand – that feeling of seeing your once bouncy, defined curls turn into a dry, frizzy mess. It's disheartening, to say the least. But trust me, getting those curls back after bleaching is absolutely possible, and I want to share more insights on how you can support your hair's recovery, even after those amazing professional treatments. One of the biggest issues with bleached curly hair is extreme porosity. Bleach lifts the hair cuticle, making it more absorbent but also more prone to losing moisture. This is why protein treatments, like the one I received, are crucial. They help fill in those gaps in the cuticle, strengthening the hair shaft. But what about at home? Look for deep conditioners rich in hydrolyzed proteins (like wheat, rice, or silk protein) and use them regularly, perhaps once a week, depending on your hair's needs. Don't overdo protein, though, as too much can make hair stiff – it's all about balance! Moisture retention is another battle for bleached curls. Your hair might feel dry no matter how much conditioner you use. This is where consistent "Curl Maintenance" comes in. Beyond deep conditioning, consider incorporating leave-in conditioners and hair oils into your routine. I find that layering products helps. After washing, apply a leave-in, then a light oil to seal in the moisture, and finally your styling cream or gel. And remember, gentle handling is key! Wet hair is fragile, so detangle with a wide-tooth comb from ends to roots, and avoid harsh towel drying. Microfiber towels or old cotton t-shirts are your best friends here. Another aspect of "HEALING AFTER THE BLEACH" is patience and protecting your hair from further damage. Avoid heat styling as much as possible. If you must use heat, always apply a heat protectant. Also, protective hairstyles can be incredibly beneficial. Braids, twists, or even just pineappling your hair at night can minimize friction and breakage. Regularly trimming those dry, split ends, even small dustings, will also help your healthy curls shine through as they grow out. Finally, listen to your hair. Every curl journey is unique. What works for one person might not work for another. Pay attention to how your hair responds to different products and techniques. It’s a process of trial and error, but with consistent care, the right products (like those bond multipliers I mentioned!), and a good routine, you'll be amazed at how much your bleached curly hair can recover and thrive. Keep going, your dream curls are within reach!
