Get unready with me 🎀 while I rant about my monthly cycle 🥹😭
Makeup off, skincare on, feelings out 🤍 I’m talking about being a woman during that time of the month, especially for my girls with heavy flows.
Taking off my makeup, doing my skincare, and just yapping a little about what it’s really like going through your monthly cycle. This one’s for the girls who deal with heavy flows, intense cramps, exhaustion, mood swings and still somehow have to show up like nothing’s wrong.
Our monthly cycle isn’t just a “minor inconvenience” for so many of us. It affects our bodies, emotions, confidence, and daily life in ways people don’t always see or understand. If you’ve ever felt embarrassed, overwhelmed, or dismissed because of your cycle especially with a heavy flow this is your reminder that your experience is valid.
This is a safe space to vent, relate, and feel seen.
Be gentle with yourself today and always 💕♾️

Navigating the challenges of a heavy monthly cycle can often feel isolating, but sharing these experiences helps build understanding and community. From personal experience, the key to managing these tough days is focusing on gentle self-care routines that soothe both body and mind. For example, I find exfoliating my skin during my cycle helps me feel rejuvenated, despite the fatigue and discomfort. Using products like micellar water and calming serums can make cleansing less harsh and more nurturing. It’s also important to acknowledge the emotional rollercoaster that often accompanies heavy flows and cramps. Mood swings and exhaustion can affect your confidence and daily activities, but accepting these feelings without judgment is a crucial step toward self-compassion. I like to set aside quiet moments to just breathe and practice mindfulness or gentle yoga, which has personally helped alleviate some of my cramps and anxiety. Additionally, talking openly about these experiences creates a supportive space for others who face similar challenges. Whether it’s chatting with close friends or participating in online communities using hashtags like #monthlycycle and #womenshealth, connection is empowering. Remember, heavy flow and its symptoms are more than a minor inconvenience—they impact various aspects of life. By prioritizing your skincare and health during this time, as well as allowing yourself to rest and express your feelings, you can better support your overall wellbeing. To all the women out there managing heavy cycles, your experience is valid, and you are not alone.
