Set up AIS number. Get sms to enter Thai number abroad for free.
In recent years, we have traveled abroad many times a year.
It has never been successful for Sim settings to get SMS into a Thai number abroad. Which SMS is important is otp if we have the need to do karma when abroad.
Now we can set up an otp in Thailand. Yeah, yeah.
Ours
- Prepaid AIS number (monthly cancellation, change to prepaid before flight)
- Android Phone (Samsung)
- Malaysia (believe that other countries use the same procedure, maybe different in the name of the network)
By following this step
1.Go to the AIS app, select Profile > > Network Setting
2. Enable the International Roaming Service
3. When arriving in Malaysia, go to the phone settings. If there are 2SIMs, the second SIM is the one purchased in that country, set the Preferred SIMs to all local sims (Calls, Messages, Mobile data).
4. Go to Mobile networks Settings > > Open Roaming at SIM Thai
5. Select Network Operator > > Select SIM Thai (our sim1), press Scan Networks and connect to the network that found * * *. You must do this because when you select Select automatically, the SIM card does not capture the network signal, you have to choose by yourself.
6. (AIS ONLY) Press * 129 * 1 # and dial with SIM to disable the internet (prevent leaking). You can use wifi or internet from other SIMs normally. But anyone who buys the internet from Thailand does not have to disable it (and press * 129 * 2 # to resume the internet when returning to Thailand).
This kind of setting is suitable for people who have moved abroad long-term, do not buy roaming packages from Thailand, and want to keep the SIM card to receive otp.
หลังตั้งค่าตามขั้นตอนในโพสต์แล้ว เราอยากเสริม “จุดที่คนมักพลาด” เพราะส่วนใหญ่ที่ค้นหาเรื่องรับ SMS/OTP ต่างประเทศกับ AIS จะติดอยู่ 2 เรื่องคือ 1) กลัวเสียเงิน และ 2) เปิดโรมมิ่งแล้วแต่ SMS ยังไม่เข้า 1) รับ SMS/OTP ที่ต่างประเทศ “เสียเงินไหม” จากที่เราใช้งานจริง (AIS เติมเงิน + อยู่ต่างประเทศ) การ “รับ” SMS/OTP ปกติจะไม่คิดค่าบริการเพิ่ม แต่ค่าใช้จ่ายที่ควรระวังคืออย่างอื่น เช่น การใช้งานดาต้าโรมมิ่ง/การโทรออก/ส่ง SMS ออก ซึ่งอาจทำให้ค่าใช้จ่ายบานได้ถ้าเผลอเปิดเน็ตไว้ ดังนั้นถ้าเป้าหมายคือเก็บเบอร์ไว้รับ OTP อย่างเดียว แนะนำปิดเน็ตซิมไทยไว้เหมือนที่ทำในโพสต์ (กด *129*1#) แล้วใช้ Wi‑Fi หรือเน็ตจากซิมท้องถิ่นแทน จะสบายใจกว่า 2) เช็กลิสต์เมื่อ “ข้อความ SMS ไม่เข้า AIS” ตอนอยู่ต่างประเทศ ถ้าเปิด International Roaming Service แล้วแต่ OTP ยังไม่มา เราลองไล่เช็คตามนี้แล้วช่วยได้: - รีสตาร์ทเครื่อง 1 รอบหลังเปิดโรมมิ่ง (หลายครั้งเครื่องเพิ่งยอมจับสัญญาณ) - เข้า Mobile networks ของซิมไทย แล้วเช็คว่าเปิด Roaming (Data roaming SIM 1) ไว้ถูกซิมจริง - ไปที่ Network operators แล้ว “สแกนเครือข่าย + เลือกเอง” อย่าปล่อย Select automatically ถ้าเครื่องไม่ยอมเกาะ (เราเป็นแบบนี้เหมือนกัน) - ถ้าใช้ 2 ซิม ให้ตั้ง Preferred SIMs เป็นซิมท้องถิ่นทั้งหมด (Calls/Messages/Mobile data) เพื่อลดโอกาสเครื่องพยายามใช้บริการผ่านซิมไทยโดยไม่ตั้งใจ - เช็คสัญญาณ: ถ้าอยู่ในอาคาร/ใต้ดิน สัญญาณอาจแกว่ง ทำให้ OTP ดีเลย์ ลองย้ายจุดหรือออกมาใกล้หน้าต่าง 3) ทริคเวลา OTP ยังไม่มา ทั้งที่สัญญาณขึ้นแล้ว บางแอป/ธนาคารกด “ขอ OTP ใหม่” ได้ แต่เราจะรอประมาณ 1–2 นาทีแล้วค่อยกดใหม่ เพื่อกันระบบล็อกว่า request ถี่เกินไป และถ้าเป็นบริการที่เลือกได้ระหว่าง OTP ทาง SMS กับ OTP ผ่านแอป/อีเมล เราจะเผื่อช่องทางสำรองไว้เสมอ 4) ก่อนบิน/ก่อนย้ายประเทศ แนะนำเตรียมตัวเพิ่มนิดเดียว - ถ้าเดิมเป็นรายเดือนแล้วจะเปลี่ยนเป็นเติมเงิน ทำก่อนบินล่วงหน้าให้เรียบร้อย - อัปเดตแอป myAIS และล็อกอินให้ได้ (บางคนพอไปต่างประเทศแล้วล็อกอินยากเพราะต้องใช้ OTP ซ้ำ) - จดรหัสสำคัญที่ใช้บ่อย เช่น *129*1# ปิดเน็ต และ *129*2# เปิดเน็ต (เผื่อต้องใช้ชั่วคราว) สรุปคือ ถ้าตั้งค่า Roaming ให้ถูก + เลือกเครือข่ายเองเมื่อจำเป็น + กันเน็ตรั่วไว้ เราว่าเหมาะมากสำหรับคนที่อยู่ต่างประเทศระยะยาวและต้องรับ SMS/OTP เบอร์ไทย (AIS) แบบสบายใจค่ะ
