It’s Halloween time again and every year we love to dress up, but I was super excited for this one. I think it’s by far my favorite yet. We had so much fun doing The Princess and the Frog and how cute is Nora as little baby Lottie? I absolutely love how it all turned out — it was just so, so, so cute.
Between the frog kisses, the candy, and all the laughs, this one’s definitely going down as a favorite Halloween memory. 💚🐸
... Read moreOkay, so you saw our amazing Princess and the Frog Halloween, and I just had to share more about how we pulled it off and why it was such a hit! If you’re searching for the perfect family Halloween costume, especially for little ones or if you adore Disney, this theme is truly magical.
Choosing Princess and the Frog was a no-brainer for us. The whimsical setting of the bayou, the vibrant characters, and the heartwarming story made it ideal for a family affair. Plus, getting to be Tiana herself was a dream! For my Princess Tiana look, I focused on a beautiful green gown, making sure it had that iconic lily pad feel. A shimmering crown and elegant gloves completed the transformation. It truly felt like stepping into the movie.
But the real star, in my opinion, was our little one as baby Lottie. Seriously, if you're looking for a Lottie from Princess and the Frog dress for a toddler or infant, it's just the cutest thing ever! We found a beautiful pink gown with ruffles, just like Charlotte La Bouff's famous party dress, and added a tiny sparkling tiara. She absolutely lit up as Lottie princess and the frog costume! It was comfortable for her to wear, which is always a big win for baby costumes.
My partner totally rocked the Dr. Facilier look, complete with his signature top hat and staff, adding that perfect touch of bayou mystique. And our other little ones got into character too! One was the adorable Ray the firefly, with his glowing antennae and big, bright eyes, just buzzing around. Another child embodied the playful spirit of a frog, complete with a little trumpet, ready to serenade the bayou. We even had a nod to the bayou's wildlife with a fun crocodile/alligator costume for another family member – truly embracing the whole setting!
Recreating the famous frog kiss scene was hilarious, especially with the green frog toy. These are the moments that make family Halloween so special and memorable. When putting together your own family costumes, my biggest tip is to start early and have fun with it! Whether you DIY key parts or find ready-made outfits, focus on comfort for the kids and let everyone contribute to the character choices. It makes the experience so much more enjoyable.
Finding inspiration for Tiana and Lottie Halloween costumes online was key, and seeing how other families interpreted the characters helped us immensely. Don't be afraid to mix and match elements to get the perfect look. From a vibrant lottie princess and the frog dress to an elegant Tiana gown, the possibilities are endless. This year's Princess and the Frog theme will definitely go down as one of our all-time favorites, filled with candy, laughter, and so many precious memories from our very own bayou adventure!
I love it!!! 🥰
