Welcome to Episode 4 of my Sunday Planning & Reset series! 🤍
This week looked a little different. We’ve all been passing around whatever bug has been making its way through our house, so I definitely had to give myself a little extra grace. Instead of trying to do all the things, I focused on catching up where I could, planning out the week ahead, and getting our family ready for another busy week.
Sometimes, simply knowing what we have coming up for the week ahead makes all the difference.
I’d love to know… what’s one thing you always try to get done before a new week starts? ✨

In my experience, Sunday planning and resetting isn’t always about ticking every box but about setting realistic intentions for the week ahead. When illness or unexpected events disrupt our lives, granting ourselves grace becomes essential. One practical tip I’ve found helpful is prioritizing essential catch-ups rather than trying to do everything at once. This might mean meal prepping simple, nourishing dishes that the whole family enjoys—like a Mediterranean grilled vegetables mix, which is both healthy and easy to prepare. Another cornerstone of a successful Sunday reset is creating a clear but flexible weekly schedule. I use a shared family calendar where we allocate time for work, school, and downtime. This shared overview helps everyone feel more prepared and less stressed. Additionally, incorporating moments of intentional living, such as mindful reflection or planning activities that foster family connection, can make a big difference. For example, setting aside time to talk about everyone’s highlights and challenges from the past week encourages open communication and emotional support. It also helps to integrate routine home resets, even simple tasks like tidying common areas or organizing school supplies. These small actions create a sense of order and ease for the upcoming days. I find that asking myself and my family what one thing we each want to accomplish before the week starts fosters accountability and motivation. Ultimately, Sunday resets are a personal, evolving process. By balancing productivity with self-compassion and family focus, the upcoming week can feel more manageable and meaningful, no matter the challenges life throws your way.
