If you ask about the most charming Starbucks in your heart right now, you have to give it to the Nineizaka Yasaka Chaya branch in Kyoto. It's the only branch in the world where Reno has come from the old wooden house (Machiya) since Edo. The atmosphere outside is so harmonious with the historic street of Ninenzaka that if you don't notice a good sign, you can walk through it!
✨ must-see Highlights:
• The Tatami Experience: The highlight of this place is the second floor. There's a Tatami Room zone where we have to take off our shoes and sip coffee. There's a very traditional Japanese feed. Look out over the old wooden street. It's very happy.
• Traditional Design: The interior decoration retains the original wooden structure. There is a small Zen Garden for us to sit and enjoy while waiting for a drink.
📝 Previous Knowledge (Tips):
1. Queuing: This branch, "Do not wait in front of the shop," is the rule of this neighborhood not to block the aisle. We have to order a drink inside first, and the staff will handle the seating.
2. Introduction period: Introduced to come in the morning (shop opens 08: 00). There are not many people yet. It is easy to reserve a seat by the window of the tatami.
3. Drink: Recommended to order a Matcha group or Hojicha Latte will be very compatible with the mood of the shop.

ถ้าใครเสิร์ชหา “Starbucks Kyoto Japan” แล้วอยากได้สาขาที่เป็นประสบการณ์มากกว่าการแวะซื้อกาแฟเฉยๆ เราว่า Nineizaka Yasaka Chaya คือคำตอบจริงๆ เพราะความพิเศษมันอยู่ที่ “บรรยากาศเกียวโต” แบบเต็มๆ ตั้งแต่หน้าร้านไปจนถึงชั้น 2 ที่เป็นห้องเสื่อทาทามิในบ้านไม้โบราณ (Machiya) ที่กลมกลืนกับย่านประวัติศาสตร์สุดๆ สิ่งที่เราอยากแนะนำเพิ่มก่อนมา เพื่อให้ทริปไม่สะดุด: 1) มาถึงแล้วทำยังไงดี (เรื่องคิว/การเข้าร้าน) ย่านนี้ค่อนข้างเคร่งเรื่องไม่ให้คนยืนรวมกลุ่มหน้าร้านหรือกีดขวางทางเดิน ดังนั้นพอมาถึงให้ “เดินเข้าไปสั่งด้านใน” ก่อนเลย แล้วค่อยรอพนักงานจัดที่นั่งให้ (ถ้าอยากนั่งทาทามิ ลองบอกความต้องการกับพนักงานสุภาพๆ ได้) 2) เวลาไปที่โอกาสได้นั่งทาทามิสูง จากประสบการณ์ สาขานี้คนแน่นเกือบทั้งวัน โดยเฉพาะช่วงสายถึงบ่าย แนะนำให้ไปเช้าตามเวลาเปิด หรือถ้าไปบ่ายแก่ๆ ใกล้เย็นบางวันคนจะเริ่มบางลงนิดหน่อย (แต่ก็ขึ้นกับฤดูกาลท่องเที่ยว) 3) โซนทาทามิชั้น 2 ควรรู้อะไรบ้าง ต้องถอดรองเท้าก่อนขึ้น/ก่อนเข้าห้อง และควรใส่ถุงเท้าที่พร้อมถ่ายรูปไว้หน่อย (ช่วยให้ดูเรียบร้อยเวลาไปนั่งบนเสื่อทาทามิ) ที่นั่งริมหน้าต่างคือมุมยอดฮิต เพราะเห็นวิวหลังคาบ้านไม้และถนนเก่าๆ แบบเกียวโตมากๆ 4) ถ่ายรูปมุมไหนให้ได้ฟีล “Starbucks Kyoto Japan” - ด้านนอกหน้าร้านจะมีป้าย Starbucks แบบไม้ที่กลมกลืนกับผนังไม้และหลังคากระเบื้อง ถ่ายให้ติดสถาปัตยกรรมท้องถิ่นจะสวยมาก - มุมบันไดไม้ตอนเดินขึ้นชั้น 2 แสงสวยและให้ความรู้สึกบ้านญี่ปุ่นโบราณ - ถ่ายจากโต๊ะทาทามิไปที่หน้าต่าง จะได้ทั้งแก้วกาแฟ + วิวถนนเก่า เป็นภาพที่เล่าเรื่องเกียวโตได้ดี 5) เมนูที่เข้ากับบรรยากาศ ถ้าอยากให้เข้าธีมญี่ปุ่นจริงๆ แนะนำกลุ่มมัทฉะ/โฮจิฉะ (เช่น Matcha หรือ Hojicha Latte) หรือเลือกเครื่องดื่มที่ไม่หวานมาก จะนั่งจิบเพลินๆ ระหว่างชมวิวได้ดี สรุปคือ ถ้ามีแพลนเที่ยวเกียวโตและอยากปักหมุด “Starbucks Kyoto Japan” ที่ไม่เหมือนที่อื่น สาขานี้คุ้มทั้งประสบการณ์ บรรยากาศ และรูปสวยๆ แบบญี่ปุ่นดั้งเดิมจริงๆ
