Let them

You were never meant to carry someone else’s choices.

One of the hardest lessons we learn is that we can’t make someone else…

…see our worth.

…understand our heart.

…tell the truth.

…heal before they’re ready.

…or choose us.

The more energy we spend trying to prove ourselves, explain ourselves, or earn a place in someone else’s life, the more disconnected we become from ourselves.

And here’s something worth remembering:

Someone else’s choices will always tell you something about them—their priorities, their fears, their capacity, or where they are in life. They are not a measure of your worth.

It’s also okay to stop believing that it’s your job to fix everything.

Sometimes the kindest thing you can do—for them and for yourself—is to let them make their own choices.

To let them learn their own lessons.

To let them decide what kind of life they want to build.

You don’t have to chase someone to see your value.

You don’t have to convince someone to love you.

You don’t have to prove that you’re enough.

And you don’t always have to be the one who reaches out.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is simply step back and allow someone the freedom to choose their own path—even if it isn’t the one you hoped for.

Instead of asking,

“How do I get them to understand me?”

Try asking,

“What do I need right now?”

Maybe that’s taking a walk.

Drinking some water.

Calling a friend.

Reading a few pages of a good book.

Creating something.

Praying.

Laughing.

Resting.

Your energy is precious.

Every moment spent trying to earn what should be freely given is energy that could be invested back into yourself.

You deserve that investment.

🤍 Tonight, ask yourself:

What is one way I can choose myself today?

... Read moreIn my own journey toward embracing self-worth, I’ve come to understand the liberating power of stepping back and allowing others to make their own choices. It’s incredibly tempting to try to influence or even fix situations for people we care about, especially when we believe in our value or the truth we hold. However, I learned that when someone isn’t ready to see or accept those truths, pushing too hard only drains my energy and causes disconnection from myself. I remember facing a situation where a close friend was struggling with their own growth but wasn’t ready to acknowledge it. Initially, I spent so much time and emotional effort trying to guide them toward understanding me and the positive changes I was embracing. Eventually, I realized that my energy would be better spent on myself—nurturing my passions, setting healthy boundaries, and doing things that replenish my spirit like reading, walking, or simply resting. One of the key lessons has been to ask myself, “What do I need right now?” instead of focusing on how to get others to see my worth or meet my needs. This shift in perspective helped me reclaim my power and cultivate a healthier relationship with myself and others. The phrase from the post, “You can't make someone see what they aren’t ready to see but you can choose where your energy goes,” really resonated with me. Choosing where to invest my energy has become a daily practice of self-respect and emotional healing. Whether it’s taking a moment to laugh, pray, or create, these acts of self-care become affirmations of my own value rather than attempts to earn it from someone else. I encourage anyone feeling burdened by another’s choices to try this approach: honor your own needs first and trust that people will find their own paths in their own time. This doesn’t mean abandoning compassion; it means embracing healthy boundaries and recognizing that sometimes the kindest support we offer is the freedom to choose, learn, and grow independently.

Let Them Talk 📌
Let them talk. Let them judge. Let them laugh. You’re not here to be understood — you’re here to become. Every day, you wake up and outgrow who you were yesterday. That’s the assignment. So let them — and watch how loud your peace gets when you stop giving your energy to noise. 🕊️💫 #LetThem
