A new perspective on relationships

A message from Spirit:

Have you ever noticed how much you can feel someone’s energy?

The friend who really listens. The person who holds space for you. The one you can talk to about anything and somehow feel a little better afterward.

And when they haven’t been around for a while, you notice it.

You miss their presence.

I want you to remember that feeling as you read this.

Because if you’re someone who loves deeply, checks in, listens, remembers the little things, makes people laugh, encourages them, or sits beside them through the hard stuff…

Your presence is felt, too.

And maybe you need to remember that—especially if someone’s distance has left you questioning your worth.

Why did they leave?

Why wasn’t I worth a conversation?

Did I even matter?

I’ve asked myself those questions, too.

But I’m realizing we don’t always need someone else to give us closure about our own worth.

You know how you showed up.

You know how you loved.

You know the laughter, support, encouragement, and energy you brought into that connection.

Someone else’s choices don’t erase any of it.

And remember that person you thought about at the beginning? How noticeable their energy is when they aren’t around?

Don’t forget that your absence creates a space, too.

Sometimes we become so focused on missing someone that we forget they no longer have access to everything we brought into their life either.

Your listening. Your encouragement. Your laughter. Your loyalty. Your love.

What you brought was real.

You don’t have to chase someone for an explanation to know that.

Sometimes closure is knowing who you are, knowing what you brought to the table, and trusting that genuine energy speaks for itself.

Because the same way you can deeply feel the absence of someone special…

your genuine presence can be deeply missed, too. 🤍

... Read moreReflecting on relationships, I've realized how often we underestimate the power of our own presence. In my experience, it's not just about who stays, but who genuinely impacts our lives through their energy and support. When someone who truly listens or comforts us isn't around, their absence is palpable — a reminder of the enduring influence they hold. Equally important is recognizing that when we're the ones providing empathy, encouragement, and love, our absence also creates a space others feel. One crucial lesson I've learned is that self-worth doesn't rely on others' actions or explanations. Instead, it springs from an honest acknowledgment of how we show up in relationships. Someone’s choice to distance themselves doesn’t diminish the authenticity of the care and energy we offered. This mindset shift has been healing, helping me embrace closure from within rather than seeking it externally. I encourage readers to reflect on the real connections they’ve fostered — the laughter shared, the encouragement given, and the loyalty shown. These are the elements that define your true contribution, and they endure beyond physical or emotional distance. Understanding this has helped me let go of the need to chase answers or validation, turning instead toward faith in the genuine energy I bring into every connection. Ultimately, relationships are an exchange of energy, and both presence and absence leave lasting imprints. Honoring your own energy means protecting it and valuing it as much as you notice others’ presence. By doing so, you embrace self-worth and foster healthier, more fulfilling connections. Remember, your unique presence is powerful and worth cherishing.
