NEW equate body butters!!!

The Tahitian Vanilla and Coconut Hibiscus scents definitely caught my eye, and I’ve been using them a bit more to give you a fuller picture. Let's talk about those key ingredients that caught my attention, and likely yours too. Both jars proudly state they contain shea and cocoa butters, which are fantastic for skin hydration. The Coconut Hibiscus variant also boasts aloe vera, coconut, and hibiscus extracts, aiming for that nourishing, tropical feel. The Tahitian Vanilla, as expected, highlights the rich aroma of Tahitian vanilla alongside those core butters. These ingredients usually promise a deeply moisturizing experience, which is why I had high hopes. Now, for those crucial questions, especially "is this good for sensitive skin?" My skin isn't overly sensitive, but I'm always cautious with new products. I didn't experience any irritation or redness with either Equate body butter. However, everyone's skin is unique. If you have very sensitive skin, I'd still recommend doing a patch test first, as fragrances, even pleasant ones, can sometimes be triggers. While the formulas are designed to be "nourishing," the level of moisture is what I'd describe as medium. It absorbs fairly quickly without leaving a greasy residue, which is a plus if you don't like feeling sticky. Just manage your expectations regarding intense, long-lasting moisture that some higher-end body butters might provide. For me, the 4.5/10 rating reflects that while they're pleasant, they didn't quite deliver the deep, rich nourishment I typically seek from a body butter, especially one boasting shea and cocoa butters as primary ingredients. They're a good, affordable option if you prioritize scent and a non-greasy feel over super-intensive hydration. If you're on a budget and love these scent profiles, they're definitely worth a try, but don't expect miracles!
