NEW PHLUR - Peach Skin!
So, I've not been liking Phlur's latest releases. I don't know, they just haven't been hitting for me.
I was expecting something sweeter and juicier with this but, that's not what its giving.
Let me know if you've tried this and how you like it.
After my first impression of the NEW Phlur Peach Skin Body Mist, I've spent more time with it, trying to understand its unique character. My initial thought was that it didn't deliver the super sweet, juicy peach I was envisioning. But diving deeper into the notes, I realized why. The scent profile, which the bottle itself highlights, includes peaches, plums, vanilla orchid, caramel, white freesia, and coconut. This isn't just a simple fruit bomb; it's designed to be something more nuanced. For anyone else looking for a straightforward, candied peach, this might not be your pick. Instead, I find the plum and white freesia add a slightly floral, almost tart edge to the peach, preventing it from becoming overly syrupy. It’s interesting how these elements play together. The vanilla orchid and caramel definitely round out the base, giving it a creamy, almost skin-like warmth, which I suppose aligns perfectly with the 'Peach Skin' name. It’s less of a 'just bitten into a ripe peach' and more of a 'warm, sun-kissed skin with a hint of stone fruit' vibe. The coconut, surprisingly, isn't overtly tropical but blends subtly, enhancing that soft, comforting feel without making it smell like a beach drink. It's more about the texture and warmth than a direct fruit blast. I've worn this Phlur Hair and Body Mist for a few days now in various settings, and for a body mist, its longevity is pretty decent. On my skin, I get about 3-4 hours before it becomes a very faint skin scent, but in my hair, it clings beautifully for much longer, sometimes even into the next day. It projects moderately, creating a lovely personal scent bubble rather than announcing your arrival from across the room. This makes it perfect for everyday wear, whether you're heading to the office, running errands, or just want to feel refreshed at home. It’s certainly not an overpowering 'perfume,' but a delicate veil. When I think about 'new peach perfume' releases, there's always an expectation, and Phlur seems to have taken a different path. This isn't a sugary sweet gourmand peach, nor is it a sharp, green peach. It’s a sophisticated, mellow interpretation. It feels quite versatile, suitable for spring, summer, and even early autumn when you want a touch of warmth and fruitiness that isn't too heavy. I've even tried layering it with a simple vanilla lotion to amplify the sweetness slightly, and it works wonderfully if you're craving that extra sugary kick. If you're on the fence about the Phlur Peach Skin, I'd highly recommend trying it on your skin first. Scents can truly evolve differently on everyone, and what initially disappointed me has grown on me as I’ve understood its subtleties. It’s certainly a unique take on peach, moving away from typical gourmand or overtly fruity fragrances. For those who appreciate nuances and a scent that sits closer to the skin, offering a subtle, elegant fruitiness with a creamy undertone, this Phlur Peach Skin might actually be a hidden gem. It just took me a few wears to appreciate its true intention beyond my initial expectations for a 'sweet peach perfume.' What are your experiences with this new release? I'm curious if anyone else found it different from what they anticipated based on the name!

I feel the same way hopefully the next release which is called Vanilla Nectar is better
