My recent visit to Florida Caverns State Park was truly an unforgettable experience! If you're wondering what it's like inside those famous caves, let me tell you, it's absolutely magical. What really struck me were the numerous stalactites hanging from the ceiling, alongside the impressive stalagmites rising from the floor. Each one is a unique work of art, formed over thousands of years by dripping water. What to Expect During Your Cave Tour: The path inside is well-maintained but can be a bit damp and uneven in places, so comfortable, closed-toe shoes with good grip are essential. The environment is quite dimly lit, adding to the mysterious ambiance, but there's enough lighting to safely navigate and appreciate the formations. You'll encounter tight squeezes and low ceilings in some sections, so be prepared to duck! It's all part of the adventure. There's also a designated swimming area, perfect for cooling off on a warm Florida day. We even saw people enjoying horseback riding!
