... Read moreHey everyone! It's time for another round of EMPTIES & RESTOCKS, and this time I'm diving deep into a couple of popular OUAI products that have recently left my beauty routine. I'm excited to give you my truly Honest Review on both the OUAI Matte Pomade and the OUAI Body Cleanser in Melrose Place scent. So, grab a snack and let's get into it! First up, let's talk about the OUAI Matte Pomade jar. If you're looking for flexible hold and a natural, matte finish, this might just be your holy grail. I've been using this for a while now to achieve that effortlessly cool, lived-in texture in my hair. What I absolutely love about this OUAI Matte Pomade is how easy it is to work with. A small amount, emulsified between my palms, is all it takes to add definition without making my hair feel crunchy or greasy. It provides enough hold to keep my style in place throughout the day, but still allows for movement, which is key for me. Plus, it washes out super easily, leaving no residue behind. For anyone with short to medium hair looking for that perfect, undone texture, I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s definitely a restock for me! Now, for a product that was a bit more of a mixed bag: the OUAI Body Cleanser in Melrose Place scent. Visually, the OUAI Body Cleanser Melrose Place bottle is stunning – that signature pink looks great in any shower. And I have to say, it emulsifies well, creating a rich, luxurious lather that feels great on the skin. My skin felt clean and soft after use, which is exactly what you want from a body cleanser. However, here's where my honest review takes a turn: the scent. For me, the smell gives me a headache. I know Melrose Place is a cult favorite with notes of rose, bergamot, and lychee, but for some reason, this particular blend was just too strong and cloying for my senses. It lingered on my skin for hours, and unfortunately, it just wasn't pleasant for me. It's truly a personal preference, as I know many people adore this scent! But for me, it was not my fav and sadly, I won't be repurchasing this particular scent. If you're sensitive to strong fragrances like I am, I'd suggest trying a sample or smelling it in-store before committing to the full bottle. Overall, my journey with OUAI continues! While the OUAI Matte Pomade has earned a permanent spot in my routine, the Melrose Place Body Cleanser taught me that even beloved scents can be hit or miss depending on individual preference. What are your thoughts on these OUAI products? Have you tried them? Let me know your honest review in the comments below!
