Mug, Candy City.

Bring merit to you, all of you who have not yet had the opportunity. May you all set up a prayer together. May you have only happiness.

I intended to come to Candy to Sri Dalada Maligawa, the fortress of faith and the supreme spiritual center of the Sri Lankans.

Here, there are stories of both politics, war, exile across the ocean, and saving the land, with "Princess Meemala" as the central character.

In about 850, in ancient India, the armies wanted to seize and destroy the "left-handed gnaw" of the Buddha, because the gnaw was not only a material religion, but also a symbol of power and the right to rule the land.

Seeing that the city was about to break, the Kuhsiwa God gave Princess Memala and Swami the most important mission, leading the Mug to escape the land.

The princess disguised herself as a commoner and hid the goddess in "boxing," breaking through the raids before successfully crossing the sea to Lanka Island.

As the Lord Kuhsiwa led the rest of the soldiers against the enemy to the death, and Galinga was defeated.

From then on, the Chunky became a symbol of his right to rule Sri Lanka. At the outbreak of the war, the king and the people risked their lives to summon Chunky to escape with Rajthani again and again.

Until finally, the monk came to this "city of Candy" around 2135.

From the fugitive princess's muay that day, through more than 1,600 years of war and history, today the Mug Mug is still enshrined within seven stacked gold frames at the center of the Mug Mug Temple.
