Thoughts: Spiritual Growth 🫶
We often times believe that because babies are "fully developed" at roughly 10 months in the womb. Its believed that we come to this earth "developed" and then the majority of acknowledgment for "growth" we give to height and weight as our children develop over the years.
But facts are, we come into this world just developed enough to survive the elements.
The human brain does not fully develop until age 25 & the final portion of that development is the prefrontal cortex.
The prefrontal cortex (PFC) is a region of the brain located in the frontal lobe, behind the forehead.
It plays a crucial role in various cognitive and behavioral functions, including:
Executive Functions: Planning and decision-making, Working memory (holding information in mind temporarily), Attention and focus, Impulse control and inhibition, and Task switching and flexibility.
Social and Emotional Regulation: Empathy and social interaction, Emotional control and regulation, Moral reasoning and decision-making, and Self-awareness and insight.
Cognitive Control: Monitoring and evaluating thoughts and actions, Updating and revising strategies, and Resolving conflicts and making adjustments.
Other Functions: Problem-solving and creativity, Learning and memory consolidation, and Language processing and comprehension.
The PFC works in conjunction with other brain regions to coordinate and control these functions. It is essential for complex cognitive tasks, such as goal-directed behavior, problem-solving, and social interactions. Damage to the PFC can lead to impairments in these abilities.

Hence why we aren't legally able to rent a vehicle until this age.
Also, damage to this region through trauma can delay or completely stop the development.
