Fish soup lovers need to try this

Had the fish soup here and it was pretty good. We got the set with Japanese pearl rice and Koka noodles and added an onsen egg too. They use grade A batang fish from Jurong Fishery Port. Fresh fish and the broth is boiled from scallops so got natural sweetness. Every Tuesday and Friday still got free soya bean drink if you order fish soup.

What sets it apart is the use of premium Grade A Batang fish sourced directly from Jurong Fishery Port, ensuring freshness and quality in every bite. The broth, simmered with scallops, imparts a natural sweetness that elevates the flavors without needing added MSG, making it a lighter and healthier choice. One interesting tip I learned from fellow food lovers is to add the onsen egg to the soup just before eating. It adds a creamy texture and richer taste that complements the delicate fish pieces perfectly. Pairing the soup with Japanese pearl rice or Koka noodles helps round out the meal, offering a choice between the subtle chewiness of noodles or the sticky, comforting feel of rice. For those who enjoy exploring different noodle options, you might appreciate the mention of Thai glass noodle soups. While different in style, they share the comforting, broth-based nature that makes fish soup so satisfying. If you’re curious, you might try combining ideas by adding glass noodles to your fish soup for a lighter twist. A special promotional highlight is the free cold soya bean drink on Tuesdays and Fridays—great for staying refreshed and balanced with your savory meal. I’d recommend visiting during these days to enjoy this added bonus. Overall, Hao Lai Wei’s fish soup offers a wholesome and flavorful experience that resonates well with those who seek comfort foods and healthy seafood options. Whether you’re local or a visitor in Singapore, this spot at 190 Middle Road is an inviting place to enjoy a satisfying bowl of fish soup that stays true to freshness and quality.
