🎄🎁MCobeauty Advent Calendar 🎁🎄

Here are the last six days of the MCobeauty advent calendar I only disliked two things out of the whole 12 days so I’d call that a win. The lip liner is a really weird shade of pinky orange it’s hard to describe and I don’t care for how they added two different shades of bronzing drops when they should have done one shade of bronzing drops and one shade of the blush drops to keep a theme. Or instead of the bronzing drops doing their translucent loose setting powder so you could have a pressed and a loose one and then a body spray. I think this was their first year making a calendar so hopefully they will do an even better one next year.

... Read moreOkay, so I just shared my thoughts on the last half of the MCoBeauty Advent Calendar, and while I called it a 'win,' I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why I think this 12 Mini Icons box was such a fun holiday treat and what I really thought of some of the standout products! First off, the overall concept of a beauty advent calendar like this MCoBeauty one is just pure joy during the festive season. Opening a new mini beauty surprise each day really adds to the Christmas countdown excitement. For MCoBeauty's first calendar, I think they did a fantastic job, especially with the variety. It’s a great way to try out some of their bestsellers without committing to full-size products. Let's talk about some of the gems from the calendar, especially those I got a chance to try. The GRIP primer was a definite standout for me. My makeup really stayed put and looked smoother throughout the day, which is exactly what you want from a primer, especially during busy holiday events. And paired with the Miracle Flawless Setting Spray? Chef’s kiss! It really locked everything in, giving that fresh, just-applied look for hours. I was genuinely impressed with how long my makeup lasted. Another product I was happy to see was the Peptide Lip Treatment. My lips always get super dry in winter, so a nourishing treatment like this was a welcome addition. It felt really hydrating and made my lips feel softer – perfect for prepping them for any festive lipsticks. Now, about those Super Glow Bronzing Drops. While I mentioned in my main post that having two shades felt a bit repetitive, I still found a way to use them. The lighter shade was great for a subtle, all-over warmth mixed with my foundation, while the deeper one could be used for a more targeted contour or even on its own for a sunny glow on no-makeup days. It would have been amazing to see a blush drop instead, to get a full face glow routine, but these are still quite versatile. The lip liner was definitely a unique shade. On me, it was this kind of warm, slightly coral pink that wasn't quite my usual nude, but I experimented with it. It might work well under a sheer gloss or with a specific lipstick. It just wasn't an everyday staple for my collection, but beauty is so personal, right? And the cute makeup sponge? Always handy to have a fresh one! Looking ahead, if MCoBeauty does another advent calendar next year (which I really hope they do!), I have a few suggestions based on my experience. More variety in product types, maybe incorporating some skincare beyond lip treatment, or a wider range of universally flattering shades for items like the lip liner. Perhaps even including their popular translucent loose setting powder instead of a second bronzing drop shade, as I initially thought. It would make the calendar even more practical and appealing to a broader audience. Overall, the MCoBeauty Advent Calendar was a delightful experience. It introduced me to some new favorites and reminded me why MCoBeauty is a go-to for affordable, effective beauty. It’s definitely a fun way to treat yourself or a beauty-loving friend during Christmas!

I agree! So many advent calendars end up having filler items. It’s frustrating when you only like a couple of things out of the whole thing.
