Cuando tienen una cita.
Cuando tienen una cita.
Going on a date can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. One piece of advice I'd give from personal experience is to stay authentic and true to yourself. It’s tempting to try and impress by overreaching, but honesty usually creates a stronger connection. Before the date, it's helpful to prepare a few conversation topics to avoid awkward silence but be careful not to make it feel like an interview. Topics like hobbies, favorite movies, or recent experiences can be great icebreakers. When it comes to behavior, small gestures like being punctual and actively listening show respect and interest. I recall one date where I focused on really listening instead of just waiting for my turn to speak, and that drastically improved the quality of our interaction. Also, it’s important to acknowledge that sometimes things won’t go perfectly, and that’s okay. If nerves lead you to say “Niéguenlo” (deny it) out loud by mistake or as a joke, it might even add a bit of humor and lighten the mood if handled playfully. Overall, treating a date as an opportunity to learn about someone else and about yourself makes the experience more enjoyable and less pressured. Remember, every date is unique, so relax and just be present in the moment.
