Mom chat 🫶

Being a mom is hard enough, then to add working or being a stay at home mom on top of it and the battle between which is harder or who is better. This is not the place for that. We are all just surviving. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

As a working mom and more specifically a work from home mom, I just have a lot of say about it.

Being a work from home mom feels extremely lonely and like there are not many people out there who understand.

The anxiety of knowing you have a big meeting in 5 minutes and your toddler is screaming.

Or your spouse coming home to an absolute mess, screaming kid and you are mentally overloaded. You can almost see the ā€˜you’ve been home all day, your day couldn’t have been that hard. Why is it such a mess’ in their face.

I am saving so much money by not sending my kid to daycare but why am I still living paycheck to paycheck while also sacrificing my sanity.

That is why I really want to start a community of ladies who understand these scenarios and can openly talk about it with no judgement. While my goal is to obviously to make money to help my family, the larger goal is to give back in whatever I can. I absolutely love seeing the large creators give back and that has forever been a goal of mine 🫶

... Read moreAs someone who has experienced the unique challenges of being a work-from-home mom, I understand the mix of emotions that come with this role. The feeling of isolation can be overwhelming when you find yourself managing a toddler and important work calls simultaneously, all while trying to keep the house in some semblance of order. There are moments when the turmoil of a screaming child collides with professional responsibilities, creating a pressure cooker of anxiety. One thing I’ve learned is that this experience is incredibly common, yet frequently under-discussed. The mental load of maintaining household duties, child-rearing, and work commitments can leave you mentally overloaded, often without the empathy or understanding from others who haven’t lived it firsthand. Sometimes, even well-meaning spouses might unintentionally add to the stress by expecting the day at home to be ā€œeasierā€ or less taxing. Financially, working from home while caring for a child can feel like an endless balancing act. While there are savings in daycare fees, the lack of a traditional office environment can blur boundaries between personal and professional life, sometimes resulting in living paycheck to paycheck despite the sacrifices being made. This economic pressure contributes significantly to stress levels. Creating or joining a community of like-minded moms who truly get this struggle is a game changer. It allows for open, judgment-free conversations where we can share tips, vent frustrations, and celebrate small wins. Such communities not only offer emotional support but can also be a source of motivation and practical advice to help maintain sanity amid the chaos. Drinking a cup of tea or coffee while sharing these stories, much like the noted "NOTES February" sentiment about "just a work from home trying to create a community and maybe make extra money at the same time," highlights the desire for connection and financial stability that many work-from-home moms share. It’s important to remind ourselves that survival in this context is itself an achievement and that seeking support is a strength, not a weakness. If you’re a work-from-home mom feeling the weight of these challenges, know you’re not alone. Reaching out, sharing your experiences, and connecting with others can be a vital step towards feeling understood and empowered on this journey.

I never worked from home but I have been a full time student while taking care of a little one so I understand the anxiety of having to sit down for a meeting or in my case a class and the house being a mess. I love that you want to build a community. I feel that moms get judged a lot especially by other moms which make no sense to me because we’re all trying our best to raise our babies.
