I swear I can’t understand the anti-Jeremiah agenda and it makes me feel like I’m losing my mind. I get it Belly and Conrad are the “endgame” couple, and honestly I agree they make the better long-term match. But if you actually look at things from Jeremiah’s perspective, this show plays out like psychological horror.
The last episode in particular was brutal, but honestly he’s been lied to, gaslit, and taken advantage of since episode one. He’s lost his mom, has a father who is basically emotionally absent, and his own brother won’t be honest with him. It’s heartbreaking because it feels like Jeremiah has no one in his corner at all.
So I’m confused, am I missing something? Is he supposed to be worse in the books or is the narrative just bending over backwards to protect Conrad? What do you think?
