Holidays Always Bring Out the Chaos
This year’s Thanksgiving fight started before the turkey was even out of the oven.
My uncle insisted he could “eyeball the temperature” and didn’t need a thermometer. Meanwhile my aunt was convinced we were all going to get salmonella and die by midnight. They argued for 40 minutes—about poultry safety.
Then my cousin brought up politics (of course), someone slammed a cabinet, the dog stole a roll off the table, and my grandma yelled that everyone needed to “shut up and eat before the food gets cold.”
Honestly, Thanksgiving is never about the meal. It’s about watching everyone fall apart in the most predictable way possible and somehow still hugging goodbye at the end.
What ridiculous thing did your family argue about this year? Please tell me I’m not alone….

We didn't, we ate food and watched the television, either old movies or football games.
