I remember my first few attempts felt absolutely hopeless. Her rapid-fire gunshots and those deceptive grab attacks were brutal! But after countless tries, I finally found a rhythm that worked for me, and I’m excited to share my go-to strategy to help you conquer her. First off, understanding her moveset is key. Shirahagi primarily uses her large cannon, firing rapid shots or a charged blast. She also has a perilous grab attack and some melee swings. My biggest breakthrough was realizing that while her gunshots seem overwhelming, they can be deflected. Yes, "the moment enemy attack lands: Deflect" applies heavily here. Getting the timing down for deflecting those bullets is satisfying and builds her posture significantly. After a successful deflect, don't forget to follow up with a "Counter-slash" to keep the pressure on. For her perilous grab attack, you absolutely need to jump or dodge backward. If she connects, it's a huge chunk of health gone. I found jumping to be more reliable as it sometimes allowed me to follow up with a jump kick to her head, further building posture. When she's winding up for her charged shot, you can actually rush in and get a few hits, or deflect it if you're feeling brave. Another useful tip is to constantly "Toggle Target Lock-on" to ensure you always know where she is and can react quickly to her attacks, especially in the chaos of battle. The environment around her arena in the Ashina Depths is also crucial. The poison pool is a double-edged sword. While it can hurt you, it also limits her movement. I found that sometimes using the nearby pillars or even trying to "Hug wall" for a moment when reloading or healing can give you a precious second. However, try to bait her away from the deeper parts of the poison, as fighting in it will slow you down too much. For prosthetic tools, the Loaded Umbrella (especially the Magnet version) is fantastic for mitigating her gunshots if your deflect timing isn't perfect. It acts as a shield, letting you block her bullets without taking vitality damage, though it won't build her posture. The Firecrackers are also incredibly effective! If you pop them when she’s open, you can stun her for a few free hits, which can be a game-changer for building posture damage. Aim for her vitality early on with a stealth deathblow if you can manage it from above, then focus on breaking her posture. This fight is a marathon, not a sprint. Don't get greedy with attacks. Focus on deflecting her combos, punishing her openings, and reacting correctly to her perilous attacks. Once you get her posture up, a few well-timed deflections on her faster attacks will lead to that glorious Shinobi Deathblow. You'll feel incredibly accomplished once you see that red kanji over her head. Keep practicing, and you'll get there!
