🌸 My 2 year old orchid & how I got her to bloom🫶
For the longest time, everyone told me orchids were so hard to grow, but once I found out that DMX was in fact an orchid enthusiast—he had a greenhouse full. I knew I could embody his energy and handle this
lol besides that the truth is, I learned the watering cycle of my plant and what kind of sun she liked. She likes direct sun for about 2 to 3 hours And in the photos above I show you how I know it’s time to water if it’s gray or bluish roots that means your plant is ready to drink. Go ahead and fill it up and soak it. I soaked this one for about 30 minutes. I haven’t seen any issues with this method . one time it did make a leaf get yellow, but I just cut it off . Cut circle of life .
Anyways , once you’re done soaking drain the water and you’ll see it’s lime green once it’s lime green you know your plants ready to go .
Also, don’t be afraid to cut the dead parts off of your plant when you let the dead parts go you give the plant more energy to distribute to growing bigger blooms and better blooms whenever I cut a leaf off my plant I compare it to cutting people and things out of my life and giving more energy to a healthier version of me .
This is the result of two years of love and learning . My first year when I had the further from the sun she gave me 3 leaves . When I moved her to the direct light I got the flowers . Not sure if it was the light or the time frame but I’m really proud of mine and her accomplishments 💕✨
