We had so much fun with the kids in Nashville! I got the question over and over when I told people we were going there for Spring Break, well what is there to do there with kids?!
I asked my kids what their favorite part of the trip was and the both said walking down broadway listening to music and seeing all the people and lights and bands!
Broadway is kid friendly during the day and all of the restaurants we went to had kids menus. Favorites were Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson’s bar.
We also walked the pedestrian bridge which had awesome views of Nashville.
One of our favorite areas was 12 south there was shopping, restaurants. We ate at the Bartaco there twice, it was so good!

So many of you asked for more details on our Nashville family trip, especially about Broadway and other kid-friendly spots! I’m happy to share more of what made our trip so special. Broadway During the Day: More Than Just Honky Tonks! Honestly, before we went, I was a little nervous about taking the kids to Broadway. But during the day, it's a completely different vibe! We found it buzzing with energy, but totally family-friendly. The live music starts early, and you can pop into many of the honky tonks to catch a few songs from the street or grab a table for lunch. Most places have kids' menus, which made ordering super easy. My kids loved seeing the street performers and the sheer spectacle of it all. It’s a great way to introduce them to Nashville’s famous music scene without the late-night crowd. Just walking around, soaking in the atmosphere, and hearing different bands play was an adventure in itself. We even saw a few kids dancing along! Hunting for Murals: A Fun Family Photo Challenge! We turned mural hunting into a fun scavenger hunt for the kids! Of course, the iconic 'I BELIEVE IN NASHVILLE' mural is a must-see, and it makes for the perfect family photo op – especially with its red, white, and blue stripes. We also found some amazing art in the 12 South neighborhood, like the blue and white striped mural, which was another hit. It’s a fantastic free activity that gets everyone exploring different parts of the city and creates lasting memories (and great Instagram shots!). Just type "Nashville murals" into your phone, and you'll find tons of options. Beyond Broadway: More Family Adventures! While Broadway was a highlight, Nashville offers so much more for families. If your kids love animals, the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is fantastic – it's well-laid out and has lots of interactive exhibits. For a dose of science and fun, the Adventure Science Center is a great indoor option, especially on a hot day. We also loved exploring Cumberland Park, which is right by the riverfront and has an awesome playground and splash pad. It's a perfect spot to let the kids burn off some energy with the Nashville skyline as your backdrop. Another hidden gem we discovered was The Parthenon in Centennial Park – it's a full-scale replica of the ancient Greek temple, and my kids thought it was so cool to see! Making Nashville Easy for Families: To make your trip smoother, consider staying in an area like Midtown or 12 South which are close to attractions but a bit quieter. We found that rideshare services were super convenient for getting around, especially with car seats for the little ones. Don't forget to pack comfortable walking shoes – you'll be doing a lot of exploring! Nashville truly is a gem for families. There’s a wonderful blend of music, history, outdoor spaces, and delicious food that makes it an unforgettable destination for all ages.
