During my recent drive in South Korea, I witnessed firsthand the effectiveness of their new plastic rolling barriers replacing traditional steel ones. These barriers are designed to guide vehicles safely along the roadside during accidents instead of abruptly stopping or causing a car to flip over. Compared to older steel barriers that often caused severe crashes upon impact, the plastic rolling barriers absorb energy and allow cars to roll down smoothly, significantly reducing injuries. I highly recommend other countries consider adopting similar plastic rolling barriers as part of their road safety measures. This simple yet innovative solution reflects how engineering and thoughtful design can transform everyday driving safety and ultimately save countless lives on our roads.
