I spent YEARS being a habitual people pleaser
here’s what we’re changing !!!
first and foremost I’ve always felt like a bother, enough!! I like to chit chat, I over explain, I over think, it was easy to feel like “too much” and though I’m still this way at times we’re unbreakjng and unlearning one day at a time
I’ve tip toed on eggshells around other peoples feelings while they’ve stomped on mine NO MORE!! My feelings matter, my voice matters, and I don’t care what relationship I have to sever to protect my mental health
I have made myself uncomfortable time after time to make others happy - I cannot afford to do that anymore my time is too precious!! I want to love the life I’m living and idc what anyone thinks of how I live it
Do you!!! Live be happy! You deserve it 🩵
Overcoming the habit of being a people pleaser is a transformative journey. It begins with recognizing that your feelings and needs are valid, and that it's important to create boundaries in your relationships. Many people struggle with the fear of rejection and the need for approval from others, but embracing self-acceptance and self-worth can lead to lasting happiness. To start, consider journaling your thoughts and feelings to gain clarity on what truly matters to you. Practicing self-compassion and acknowledging your worth can help shift your mindset from seeking external validation to appreciating your own unique qualities. Surrounding yourself with supportive individuals who respect your boundaries can also facilitate this change. Mindfulness techniques, such as meditation or deep breathing, can further enhance your emotional resilience, allowing you to respond rather than react to challenging situations. Remember, your time and energy are precious resources; investing them in activities and relationships that uplift you is key to living a fulfilling life. Ultimately, by choosing to prioritize your happiness, you not only enrich your own life but also set a positive example for those around you, encouraging them to pursue authenticity as well.
