If you're planning your own romantic Disney adventure, here are some tips and highlights from our fairytale evening. First things first, outfits! We loved coordinating our look for the night. We found some adorable matching Mickey T-shirts from Target which were perfect – comfortable enough for walking around, but still festive and themed. Don't forget to accessorize with fun Disney lanyards or small heart-shaped details to really embrace the Sweethearts Nite vibe. Comfort is key, so make sure your shoes are broken in before you go! One of the best parts of any Disney trip is the food, and Sweethearts Nite offers some unique delights. We started our culinary journey at Cafe Orleans, where we indulged in a delightful "Cherry bourbon smash" cocktail. It was perfectly refreshing, and the atmosphere with the red roses on the table felt so romantic. We also shared their famous "Gumbo Fries" and a fresh "Caesar Salad" – highly recommend both for a savory treat! Later in the evening, we stopped by Plaza Inn for their classic "Spaghetti and meatballs," which was hearty and satisfying. Of course, no Disney meal is complete without dessert, and their "Yummy Mickey Mouse Dessert" cups were the sweetest ending to our meal – almost too cute to eat! Sweethearts Nite is also packed with incredible photo opportunities. We made sure to capture some memories in front of the whimsical, colorful house with heart-shaped windows, which felt like stepping into a romantic storybook. As the night went on, the illuminated Sleeping Beauty Castle during the event is absolutely breathtaking. The special blue light effects and heart overlays made for the most magical backdrop for our couple's selfie. Look out for the event guides featuring Donald and Daisy Duck for unique photo props too! To make the most of your Sweethearts Nite, I'd suggest arriving early to soak in the atmosphere. The event often has unique character appearances and special entertainment that you won't want to miss. Plan your dining reservations or quick-service stops in advance, as popular spots can get busy.
