From personal experience, wearing a wig cap underneath a hijab can cause a persistent headache due to pressure and overheating. Additionally, fasting during Ramadan often leads to dehydration and caffeine withdrawal, both significant contributors to headaches and brain fog. One effective way I found to alleviate these issues is by staying well-hydrated during non-fasting hours and carefully adjusting the tightness of the wig cap to ensure it's secure but not constrictive. It's also helpful to use lightweight wigs designed for breathability to reduce overheating. Managing caffeine intake gradually before Ramadan prevents abrupt withdrawal symptoms during cosplay sessions. Another point to consider is the overstimulation that can come from busy cosplay events, which sometimes triggers sensory overload and fatigue. Taking short, quiet breaks away from crowds while sipping water or a light snack can refresh both body and mind. By recognizing these common physical stressors—such as hijab weight headaches, dehydration, and cosplay overstimulation—I’ve been able to enjoy my Demon Slayer cosplays more comfortably and maintain my enthusiasm even during the fasting month. Building awareness and incorporating these self-care strategies allow for a joyful and healthier cosplay experience that respects personal and cultural practices.
