This environmental shift demands urgent attention and adaptation strategies from policymakers and local stakeholders. On a personal note, I believe raising awareness about these changes and supporting sustainable practices can help mitigate the long-term impacts on these precious ecosystems. Overall, recognizing the connection between rising sea surface temperatures and marine ecosystem health is crucial, especially as these events grow in frequency and intensity due to global climate change. Sharing observations and knowledge empowers communities to better prepare for and respond to marine heatwaves in the Mediterranean.
