Morning Smoothie

I love this smoothie - I do not make it enough, I get hyper fixated on it for a month then forget it exists but it’s really good! You can switch up the fruit and I use hemp protein because it’s what I like!

Ingredients:

- Greek yogurt

- fresh and frozen fruit

- greens blend

- protein powder

- chia seeds

- peanut butter

- SOMETIMES honey too!

- blend with water :)

Using Greek yogurt as a base not only adds creaminess but also provides probiotics which are great for gut health. The inclusion of a greens blend, like Amazing Grass Greens Blend Detox & Digest, adds an extra layer of vitamins and minerals without overpowering the flavor. Hemp protein is my preferred protein powder because it’s plant-based, digestible, and adds fiber as well. It complements the chia seeds, which thicken the smoothie and provide omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. I like mixing both fresh and frozen fruits — fresh fruit adds brightness and flavor, frozen fruit helps keep the smoothie cold and gives a nice texture. For healthy fats and a dose of protein, peanut butter is a fantastic addition. Sometimes I drizzle in a bit of honey for natural sweetness, but you can skip or substitute it as you prefer. Blending everything with water keeps the smoothie light and refreshing. Overall, this combination creates a balanced breakfast option that keeps me full until lunch and helps maintain steady energy levels. Plus, switching up the fruit or greens blend keeps the recipe exciting and adaptable to what’s in season or in your pantry. If you’re new to smoothies, start with small amounts of protein powder and greens blend to find your perfect balance. Don't be afraid to experiment — smoothies are a great way to personalize nutrition and enjoy a quick, tasty meal.
