Often, people overlook this and cross boundaries without understanding the impact of their actions. Learning to say "stay away from me" when necessary is an empowering step towards preserving your mental and emotional health. Embracing vulnerability doesn't mean tolerating disrespect; rather, it means being open about your feelings and limits while demanding the same respect in return. Setting and enforcing boundaries is not selfish—it's an essential part of self-care. When you respect yourself, others are more likely to recognize and honor your space and feelings. I've found that communicating clearly about what you will and won't accept helps prevent misunderstandings and reduces conflict. It’s important to remember that respect is earned over time, not automatically granted. By maintaining your boundaries and expecting respect, you create healthier interactions and foster deeper connections based on trust and understanding.
