I had no idea that the world of corporate nursing even existed.
Okay so let’s break it down- what is a Corporate Nurse?
Plain and simple- it’s a nurse that works in a corporate setting. There are many different sectors for this- you can be in academia and teach, case management, or what I chose which is the biotech industry. Lucky for me, I landed a corporate nursing job that was also wfh!
I’d be lying if I said sometimes I didn’t miss patient care. But for me the upside of work life balance was so worth it. And honestly, I’m so glad I made the leap. I’ve learned so many skills by working in the corporate world and I love that I have the chance to innovative in my role through my own projects. I’m sure everyone has a slightly different experience with it, but the majority of people who have made the leap have told me that they feel the same way that I do!
I also love that there’s room to advance my career, which I never felt I had that same opportunity as a bedside nurse and nurse practitioner.
