David thought to himself, "I will perish someday by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better than to flee into the land of the Philistines." David didn't just think. And David set up a command, and took the people, and plundered the tribes of the desert. And David destroyed, and left not one survivor, and took sheep, and cattle, and camels, and clothes, and lied to Achish, that he plundered his brethren the Israelites, to make him and Israel enemies.
If we let fear of anxiety lead our minds, then we will lack trust in God, we will turn to self-reliance, dependence on man, even though God saved David from Saul's hands all the time. David looked on God's men as enemies (fear of King Saul), but on his enemies (King Kish) as friends.
Human thinking is often opposed to God's will and ways, although it may be a good idea, thinking of Peter, who forbade Jesus to enter Jerusalem. Peter hoped well and protected Jesus, but Jesus said to Peter, "Go away, Satan. You think as men do not think as God."
We must think, consider, meditate, reflect on what has happened to our lives, trust in God, who has saved us in the past, how He will save us again and will help us again, change our minds... life changes.
When we think "it is impossible," but God says: "Everything is possible.".!
When we think, "No one loves me," God says: "I love you.".!
When we thought "tired," but God said: "I will make you well.".!
When we thought "helpless, not knowing what to do," God said: "I will lead your steps.".!
