Levi was the third child of Jacob and Leah. God chose and appointed the tribe of Levi (1 of 12 tribes) to serve God in the temple, representing all the people standing before the Lord. "Levi" means "intimacy" (Gen. 29: 34). The three sons of Levi are Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

And Amram had three sons: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam: and God made Aaron a priest to be a mediator to offer sacrifices in the temple; and David appointed the other children of Kohath to serve with music in the temple.

The role and duties of God's appointed Levi (the book of the wilderness) are: 1. Gershon is responsible for the tabernacle, the tabernacle, the tabernacle, and all its vessels; 2. Kohath is responsible for the ark of the testimony, the table of bread, the lampstand, the two altars, and the utensils of worship in which the priests used it, and the curtain; 3. Merari is responsible for the boards of the tabernacle, the bars, the pillars, the bases, and the vessels around the court of the tabernacle, with the bases, the pins, and the cords.

God exempted the Levites from inheriting the land of Canaan, but God also designated each of the tribes of Israel to set aside cities for the Levites according to the size of each tribe; for the grace of God the Levites had no share in the land; for "Yahweh, the God of Israel, is their inheritance" (Josh 13: 33).

Many times, we often view Levi as a full-time servant only, but through the grace of God through the Lord Jesus Christ, we are the royal priests, a holy people "(1Pt. 2: 9). Although you do not serve God full-time as a pastor, you can serve" wholeheartedly, "but for our" full-time "servants, we will be" willing "to serve" wholeheartedly "and" throughout our lives. "
