Face Chart VS My Recreation🕷️🕷️🕷️

You know that feeling when you find a face chart so stunning, you just have to try recreating it? That's exactly how I felt when I stumbled upon this incredible gothic makeup design. It featured bold red and black eyeshadow, intense red eyes (hello, contacts!), striking black lipstick, and even an intricate Eye of Horus symbol. And those three small spiders on the forehead? Absolutely iconic! The first step, even before touching a brush, is really 'sketching the makeup look' in your mind – or rather, interpreting the existing face chart. I spent ages studying every detail: the sharp angles of the eyeliner, the blend of the red and black, the precise placement of the Eye of Horus, and how those tiny spiders would sit. It's about breaking down the complex design into manageable steps. Next up, 'prepare the face chart' – or in my case, prepare myself and my tools! For a gothic look like this, a good canvas is key. I started with a clean, moisturized face, then went in with a white face paint base to achieve that dramatic pale complexion. Gathering all my products was crucial: highly pigmented red and black eyeshadows, a precise liquid liner for the Eye of Horus and spiders, and an opaque black lipstick. Having everything laid out prevented mid-application panic! Now for the fun, yet challenging, part: 'apply the makeup'. I began with the eyes, mapping out the shape of the red and black eyeshadow. Blending those two colors seamlessly while keeping the edges sharp took some serious concentration. The red eyes were achieved with colored contacts, which instantly elevated the whole vibe. Then came the Eye of Horus symbol. I decided to place it on my cheek, as it felt more balanced with the intensity of the eye makeup. Precision is everything here – a steady hand and a good fine-tip brush are your best friends. Finally, those little spiders! I used a tiny brush and liquid liner to carefully draw each one, trying to mimic the delicate look from the digital face chart. After the eyes and details were done, it was time for the black lipstick. A crisp line around the lips followed by filling them in completed the dramatic pout. The process of 'assessing the client's features' (or my own, in this case!) happens throughout. I kept checking against the original face chart, tweaking lines, building up color, and making sure the symmetry was as close as possible. It’s never going to be 100% identical, but the goal is to capture the essence and the dramatic flair. Even though I wish I had better pictures of the final recreation, I was so proud of bringing that intricate gothic design to life.
