This ensures preparedness against various scenarios, including insider threats and external attacks. Experts like Associate Professor Robert B. Hayes highlight that while absolute security is challenging, a combination of advanced technology, robust policies, and a well-prepared workforce significantly reduces vulnerabilities. Public transparency and international cooperation also contribute to evolving best practices in nuclear security. In my view, understanding and supporting these measures are important for both safety and public confidence in nuclear power. The balance between harnessing nuclear energy's benefits and managing its inherent risks depends on ongoing vigilance and innovation in security protocols.
