My teenagers are hilarious, Lily and I hit up Barnes and Nobles yesterday to scope out some books, this morning I was my son's personal Uber driver to the train so he could go hang out with his girlfriend. I'm loving this whole teenager thing, it's like having besties that I created, they're the best and it's wild to see them grow into their own weirdos, one part me, one part them, it's pretty awesome.

The laughter shared during outings like a visit to Barnes and Noble, where you bond over book selections, creates memories that last a lifetime. With the independence of teenagers, you may find yourself taking on roles like a personal Uber driver, navigating their social adventures. This time allows you to cultivate a relationship that feels more like friendship, as you support them in their growing independence and quirky interests, whether it’s diving into science fiction novels or exploring creative fiction. Books can play a significant role in this journey; they provide not just entertainment but valuable life lessons. Encourage their reading habits by introducing them to various genres, from adventure to fantasy, nurturing a love for lifelong learning. Connecting over stories offers a wonderful opportunity to engage in discussions about their thoughts and ideas. Embrace this time of exploration and connection, as it shapes both their futures and your relationship, reminding us that even as they grow, they still need our love and support.
