Registration of treaties or agreements between any country and the UN is a matter for UN member states to act in accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations, not an advantage or disadvantage in international law, and does not require the UN to adopt a "boundary line."

Because the 2001 MoU, or MOU44, did not have a chapter defining the boundary line, only a provision that Thailand and Cambodia would negotiate a demarcation, and there was a chapter that clearly stated that it did not affect the rights of both sides.
