❤️Why I love them : My dad passed 4.17.26 from stage 4 liver cancer… He was my best friend & Dad … I wish I had 5 more minutes with him … We used to sing these songs to each & now it’s the one of the few things to connect me back to him, it’s like I feel him with me … 💔 I miss him so much … He was the BEST DAD EVER - he always show up & show out for me for me & honestly sometimes I didn’t deserve it….. I just want my best friend back 😩😩😩😩

When my dad passed away after a tough battle with stage 4 liver cancer, it felt like my whole world had shifted. One thing I found incredibly helpful was creating a playlist of songs that reminded me of him and the beautiful moments we shared. Music became a bridge, allowing me to feel close to him even though he was gone. Songs like "When Tomorrow Starts Without Me" by Trey Pendley and "Even Though I'm Leaving" by Luke Combs carry stories of love, loss, and hope—helping me process grief in ways words alone couldn’t. These melodies became a source of comfort during tough days, almost like an invisible hug from him. We used to sing these songs together, and now, playing them brings back memories and a sense of his presence. Grief has no timeline, and everyone experiences it differently. For me, embracing those memories, even the painful ones, helped me honor my dad’s legacy. I often remind myself it’s okay to miss him deeply and to wish for just a few more minutes. Grief is a journey, not a destination, and it’s important to be patient with yourself during this time. Apart from music, sharing memories with family and friends or writing down thoughts can also be therapeutic. Simple gestures like lighting a candle or visiting a meaningful place bring a quiet sense of peace. Finding small ways to celebrate your loved one’s life keeps their spirit alive in your heart. If you’re grieving someone special, know that you’re not alone. Reach out when you need support, and don’t hesitate to let music or other meaningful activities help you navigate the complex emotions. Holding on to love, even in loss, is a powerful way to keep the connection alive and carry forward the memories that matter most.
