My first time septum stretching!!!

My experience post stretch (⚠️tw gross):

So I got sick a few days after and I highly don’t recommend that (not like ik i was gonna get sick) 😭. Not only that but I had lost one of the balls on the horseshoe which I thought it was fine bc I turned the ring so the side w the ball was close to my hole but NOPE. One morning I woke up to blow my nose (bc I was sick) felt smth go down my throat- and realized it was my jewelry 💀 so yeah I more so panicked at the thought at me losing my progress- so I stretched again (I DO NOT RECOMMEND) my nose is still a little sore but it barely hurt I js know it’s not completely smart in case of a blowout but considering I’m only stretching to 12g the risk isn’t as big I feel

When considering stretching your septum, it's important to understand the gauge sizes: common starting sizes like 16G or 14G can be gradually increased to 12G or larger, depending on your comfort level. Ensure you're using high-quality jewelry and consult with professional piercers to avoid complications. It's also advisable to wait a suitable amount of time between stretches to allow your body to heal properly. Many people report experiencing soreness or discomfort during and after stretching, which is why immediate aftercare is essential. Use saline solutions for cleaning and avoid touching your jewelry with dirty hands. If you experience unusual pain or signs of infection, it's best to consult a professional piercer for advice. Remember, everyone’s body is different; what works for one person might not work for another. Educate yourself thoroughly before deciding to stretch your septum, and prioritize your health and safety throughout the process!
