room tour + room must haves!🌸

I just recently moved and I got my own room! I'm able to decorate it however I want, so swipe to see what I did!🩷

Here are some tips to making your room your own👇🏾

🌸 Take your time! There is no rush, I'm still not done my room yet either!

🌸 Set a color scheme. Mine is pink, grey, black, and white.

🌸 Ball on a budget! Always try to find deals or things in bulk (like hangers, bins, etc.)

🌸 Keep your walls neutral. Gives you more to work with!

🌸 Only decorate with what you like! Don't get anything unless it really appeals to you (don’t be afraid to do your own thing)

🌸 Try to deep clean it every once in a while! Keeps it nice and fresh.

... Read moreAfter getting my own space, I realized how much I wanted it to reflect *me*. If you're dreaming of a soft, welcoming vibe, a pastel pink aesthetic might be just what you need! It's not just about painting everything pink; it's about layering textures and thoughtful touches to create a cohesive look. For instance, I adore the warm glow of pink LED strip lights – they instantly transform the mood from day to night, adding a soft, ambient light that makes the room feel so cozy. Pair them with a cozy tapestry above your bed for an artistic focal point that adds softness and a personal touch. Beyond the basics, think about what makes your room truly enjoyable and functional. A projector has been a game-changer for movie nights, turning a blank wall into a cinema screen for instant entertainment. And for music lovers, a record player adds such a cool, vintage touch and a fantastic sound experience that fills the room with good vibes. Don't forget those playful elements that scream 'you,' like a cute neon sign (mine says 'mwah'!) or a fluffy cloud-shaped pillow to add personality and comfort to your desk chair. These small details really elevate the overall aesthetic. Decorating on a budget is totally doable, and smart storage is key to keeping your space tidy and stylish! I've found that investing in versatile storage bins (especially in my chosen color scheme, like pink!) and sturdy shelves makes a huge difference. They help keep clutter at bay while looking seamlessly integrated into your decor. Think about using smaller organizer bins for items like lotions and perfumes on your vanity or desk to keep things neat. And for the closet, a color-coded clothing rack (if you're as obsessed with organization as I am!) alongside a neat hamper makes morning routines so much smoother. A big mirror not only helps with outfit checks but also makes a smaller room feel much more open and bright, reflecting light beautifully. And finally, once your sanctuary is set up, keeping it clean is vital for maintaining that fresh, inviting feel. I try to do a deep clean every couple of weeks. Even in the bathroom, having your essentials organized, like a dedicated shower cleaning scrub brush, and stylish dispensers for gel soap and foam soap, contributes to the overall aesthetic and makes daily routines a pleasure. Remember, your room is your personal retreat, so take your time, make it yours, and enjoy every moment of creating your dream space!
