The Key To Motherhood🔑

Let's be very clear...

I put all my problems in God's hands. I'm resilient, I'm patient, and I have faith that He will continue to provide like He always has.

But let's also be real.

Money stress is exhausting.

Especially as a single mom raising a child with special needs.

Before anybody gets it misconstrued, I had a good-paying job that I unfortunately had to leave because my son's needs came first. So when I talk about wanting financial stability, I'm talking about having an income of my own so I can continue to provide for both of us without constantly worrying about the next bill or expense.

God has never failed me, but that doesn't mean I don't have moments where I'm fishing for money, trying to figure things out, or feeling the weight of it all.

I'm human.

I know this season won't last forever, and I truly believe I'm on my way to financial stability😝🤟🏽

But until then, I'm going to be honest about what this journey looks like.

I've found that leaning on faith helps anchor me during the toughest financial storms, but practical strategies also play a crucial role. For instance, creating a flexible budget that accounts for unexpected expenses reduces anxiety about bills and helps plan for the future. Networking with other single moms has been invaluable—not only for emotional support but also for resource sharing. Many communities offer programs and grants tailored to families dealing with special needs, which can alleviate some financial pressure. Learning to ask for help, whether through local support groups or online forums, breaks down feelings of isolation and builds a village around you. Importantly, self-care can't be overlooked. Moments dedicated to personal well-being—whether a quiet walk, journaling, or a short meditation—recharge the resilience needed to navigate daily demands. Embracing imperfection allows us to be patient with ourselves, recognizing that ups and downs are part of the journey. I believe transparency about the financial and emotional realities of single motherhood fosters solidarity and hope. Each challenge overcome is a testament to our determination, and with faith and practical effort, financial stability is an attainable horizon.
