Before anybody gets in their feelings... 😂
This is MY sense of humor.
Dark humor has always been one of the ways I've coped with this journey. At the end of the day, I wouldn't trade my son for the world….maybe his autism👀
And I will continue to spread awareness🫶🏽 #autism #mom #momlife
Living as a parent of a child with autism can be a uniquely challenging and rewarding experience. For many, humor—especially dark humor—serves as a vital coping mechanism that allows them to find light in difficult moments. It’s important to recognize that this type of humor isn’t meant to diminish the experience but rather to create a relatable way to express complex emotions. From my own experience, embracing humor helped me navigate the highs and lows of parenting a child on the spectrum. It provided me with relief and a sense of connection with others who face similar challenges. Dark humor became a tool that allowed me to acknowledge frustrations without shame, building resilience along the way. Moreover, sharing these candid moments can promote greater awareness and empathy in wider communities. Autism is a spectrum disorder with a broad range of presentations, and every child’s journey is distinct. By openly discussing our experiences—including the struggles and insecurities—we help normalize conversations about autism and reduce stigma. It is also essential to celebrate the unique qualities and strengths our children have. While the challenges may be great, the love, joy, and perspective they bring to our lives are invaluable. Families often find solidarity through support groups and online forums where sharing stories, humor, and resources fosters a strong support network. Ultimately, advocacy paired with authenticity helps spread awareness and understanding. Whether through humor, heartfelt storytelling, or sharing milestones, every voice contributes to a more inclusive and compassionate society for individuals with autism and their families.

I work inspecting group home that the residents are kids with special needs. It really takes lots of patience, prayer and love. God Bless You. Sending PRAYERS AND LOVE.💝🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
