Hey wonderful people! Since my initial intro was just a quick snapshot, I wanted to dive a little deeper into what makes me, *me*. You already know I'm a Special Education teacher, and honestly, it's more than just a job – it's a huge part of my heart. There's something incredibly rewarding about helping students unlock their potential and seeing those 'aha!' moments. Every day brings new challenges and triumphs, and it truly keeps me on my toes. It's a field that requires a lot of patience and creativity, but the connections you build with students and their families are priceless. If you're in education too, I'd love to hear your experiences! Beyond the classroom, one of my biggest joys is definitely thrifting. There's just something magical about sifting through racks and finding a hidden gem! Whether it's a vintage dress, a unique home decor piece, or even a quirky book, the thrill of the hunt is real. I've furnished entire rooms with thrift store finds, and I love giving old items a new lease of life. Plus, it's such an eco-friendly way to shop and a fantastic way to stretch your budget. My best advice for new thrifters? Go often, keep an open mind, and don't be afraid to dig a little. You never know what treasures await! I've found some surprisingly stylish pieces for my wardrobe and even unique gifts for friends. It’s like a treasure hunt every time! Another passion of mine is exploring new places, whether it's a weekend road trip or a bigger adventure. Travel truly opens your eyes to different cultures and perspectives. I love planning itineraries, trying local foods, and just soaking in the atmosphere of a new city or natural landscape. From bustling markets to quiet hiking trails, each trip leaves me with unforgettable memories and stories to tell. One of my favorite recent trips involved exploring some charming small towns, and I'm already dreaming about my next big escape. Cooking at home, trying new restaurants, or just enjoying a good cup of coffee – it's all part of the fun. I'm always on the lookout for easy, delicious recipes to try, especially ones that are cat-mom-friendly (meaning quick prep!). Maybe I'll start sharing some of my favorite comfort food recipes soon. And my cat, bless her furry little heart, often "helps" in the kitchen by supervising from a safe distance. She's definitely the queen of our castle!
