12-month or couple plan — which should you get?

After almost a year of using TeleExpense I can say pretty confidently — it’s worth committing to the annual plan if the habit has clicked for you.

The 12-month plan is ~$3/month for solo tracking. The couple plan works out even better value if you’re doing it together — two passes for less than two individual plans.

If you’ve been on the fence, there’s a $5 off code in my bio for the 12-month or couple plan. Small saving, but every bit helps. 🙂

... Read moreHaving used TeleExpense myself for nearly a year, I can share some personal insights beyond the pricing details. The real advantage of committing to either the 12-month or couple plan lies in the habit-building features the app offers. Both plans provide AI categorization, seamless Google Sheets sync, recurring expense tracking, daily reminders, streaks, milestones, and monthly reports—tools that transform budgeting from a chore into an engaging ritual. For solo users, the 12-month plan priced at around SGD 37.90 a year (approximately $3/month) offers a manageable cost for consistent money management. I found that the daily reminders especially helped me stay on track, turning expense tracking into a routine rather than a one-time effort. This consistency is key if you want to see real improvements in your financial awareness and control. If you’re managing finances as a couple, the couple plan is a game changer. At SGD 69.90 for two passes, it’s more affordable than buying two individual plans. What’s great is that both users can log their expenses separately, yet all data is merged into one shared Google Sheet. This transparency helped my partner and me understand our spending habits better and plan budgets collaboratively, saving us from surprises and financial misunderstandings. Starting with the $1 trial is a smart move if you're on the fence. It gives you a no-risk opportunity to test the features and assess if the app suits your lifestyle. Plus, with the $5 off code mentioned, the annual plans become even more budget-friendly. In my experience, whether solo or as a couple, the value in these plans extends far beyond cost savings. The habit-forming functionalities and shared data visibility can significantly improve money management skills and financial communication. For anyone serious about getting a handle on their finances, choosing the right plan is the first step to long-term success and peace of mind.
