What's the most RIDICULOUS corp rule?

Every job’s got those absurd corporate rules that make you sick. But for me, the worst one’s self-reviews. Like, what’s the point?

They make me spend hours rating my own work, talking about what I done, what I “could improve on” and then it’s like none of it matters. because at the end of the day, my boss just gives me the feedback they already had planned. I’m overthinking every bullet point, and it’s all for nothing. It’s not like my self-rating changes their mind so why waste my time pretending it does?

It feels so performative, just another box to check so the company can say they “value employee input.” Spare me. What’s the most ridiculous non-dress-code corporate rule you’ve had to follow? Any that made you wanna roll your eyes so hard?

Self-reviews are the ultimate corporate LARP. Spending 3 hours hyping/roasting yourself just for your boss to go “cool, here’s what I already decided.”
