I guess I‘m rich in compliments...
Because like I’ll get people telling to my manager about how I gave the best service ever, then they tip me $1 or $2 on a $100 bill. Like, I love compliments but rent and groceries don’t pay themselves with “you’re amazing!” I had this couple last night, they went on and on about how I’m the “best server they’ve had in years,” how I made their anniversary dinner perfect. Then the bill comes, they leave a 2 dollar tip and bounce. It’s crazy how people will shower you with praise but stingy with actual tips. Makes me wonder if they think compliments pay my bills or something. Does anyone think this is fair? Most of our pay comes from tips, but now tips are getting less and less.
